Working through Housing Bronzeville, residents believe that they can do something about the affordable housing crisis in Bronzeville. They can work to get control of vacant land that is being speculated, so that it can be used to keep housing affordable. They can help working families seize opportunities to become homeowners. They can produce limited equity co-ops to keep housing affordable for the next generation. They can achieve the stated community goal for keeping Bronzeville stable with 1/3 lower income, 1/3 moderate income, and 1/3 market rate housing.
